On February 5, 1917, the convention in Querétaro adopted the constitution of the Mexican Federation (28 states), marking the end of the Mexican civil war period. This constitution addressed various areas such as agriculture, the status of foreign capital and investments in Mexico, and the relationship between church and state. It also contained progressive labor law provisions for its time (workers' status, minimum wage, working hours, etc.).
