Catalog of Czechoslovak Postage Stamps 1969-1978, ...from the formation of the federation to the first cosmonaut (softcover)

In 2025, it was already the eightieth anniversary of the liberation of Czechoslovakia, and at the same time, ten years since the release of the last catalog dedicated to this period (1944-1992). The NEWSPHILA z.s. association decided to combine these two dates into the release of a new, multi-volume catalog. The second published volume maps the period of the first years of the new currency (1969-1978) and is published with the subtitle "...from the formation of the federation to the first cosmonaut"

How does this catalog differ from the previous ones? Unlike the previous catalogs published in our territory since 1950, which in recent years have transformed into just a certain price list, we decided on a total revision of all existing data by returning to the original primary data.

The results of this approach soon appeared in the form of "surprising" revelations, as there are postage stamps with incorrectly stated data, where we managed to uncover their genesis and gradual development. So once again – the new Catalog identifies several dozen incorrectly stated data and other "peculiarities and blunders" sometimes caused by human factors and sometimes even by the publisher, that is, the postal administration itself!

Of course, besides incorrectly stated data, there are also individual types of postage stamps (and sheets), where we tried to highlight them in the form of larger images that reliably show the individual differences. For some types, their own origin is also explained in detail, or their gradual development, and these are put into further context.
