Specification
On January 1, 1993, the independent Czech Republic and Slovak Republic were formed by the division of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, completing the complex, long-standing process of the Slovak nation's emancipation. The Slovak Republic has 5.4 million inhabitants, an area of 49 thousand km2, the capital city - Bratislava, currency unit - Slovak koruna (1 Sk).

Obverse:
In the center of the upper half of the coin field is the state emblem of the Slovak Republic, below it is the inscription "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA", the designation of the nominal value, and the year of minting.

Reverse:
In the center of the coin field is depicted the shape of the territory of the Slovak Republic, within which a double cross is placed on a triple hill. Above it is the date of the establishment of the Slovak Republic 1.1.1993. Three flying Tatra eagles carrying budding linden twigs in their beaks are symbols of freedom and independence. The inscription reads: "LET US BIND THE SCATTERED TWIGS OF SVÄTOPLUK INTO A STRONG BUNDLE IN THE HEART OF EUROPE"
