Specification:
The initiator of the modern Olympics was the French baron Pierre de Coubertin. At his suggestion, a congress on the renewal of the Olympic Games was held in Paris in 1894. The congress elected the International Olympic Committee, which approves the candidate for hosting the Olympics, their program, guarantees the purity of competitions, and the regularity of conditions. The first modern Olympics were held in 1896 in Athens.

The founding assembly of the Slovak Olympic Committee was on December 19, 1992. Slovakia first appeared on the Olympic stage as an independent country at the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994. The delegation included 42 athletes, representatives in hockey, skiing, biathlon, and luge.

Obverse side:
In the center of the coin field is the emblem of the Slovak Olympic Committee, below it is the name of the state "SLOVAK REPUBLIC". The inscription includes the name of the IOC "COMITÉ INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIQUE".

Reverse side:
In the coin field, a figure of a hockey player in attack is centrally depicted. At the bottom is a stylized snowflake with pictograms of four Olympic sports in which Slovak representatives competed at the Winter Olympics. The inscription reads "OLYMPIC GAMES". To the right of the hockey player figure is the nominal value of the coin.
