The collector's series of 5-euro coins "Fauna and Flora in Slovakia" is among the most interesting projects of recent years. For all numismatics enthusiasts and nature lovers, we bring a new album, which is an ideal solution for storing this unique collection from the years 2026 – 2030. The album will be available in version 2. , which allows the inserted coins to be seen from both sides when the album is opened.
The first coin is already out
The series has officially started with the release of the first coin featuring the motif of the marsh turtle. This coin attracted attention not only with its detailed processing but also with a colored element – a colored water lily, which beautifully complements the overall design.
What do we know about the other coins?
The second coin in the series already has a known appearance as the alpine marmot, whose issue is planned for December 2026, but it remains questionable, whether it will contain coloring and if so, which part will be colored. The colored elements are very attractive in this series and give the coins a unique character.
According to information published by the National Bank of Slovakia, coloring is planned for this series, however, it is not guaranteed that every coin will be colored or to the same extent. The choice of the colored element depends on the specific design and artistic processing of the winning author.
What motifs are still waiting for us?
The National Bank of Slovakia has already revealed in its emission plan, which animals will follow in the coming years. However, the specific appearances of the coins are not yet known. We will have to wait for the final designs, as they are created through public competitions.
