Bulgaria is a country in Southeastern Europe located in the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula. As of January 1, 2026, the official currency is the Euro. On this day, the country joined the eurozone as its 21st member. Previously, Bulgaria used the Bulgarian lev (BGN) as its currency.
