Charles VI (1711-1740)

Charles VI was a Habsburg ruler who reigned from 1711 to 1740. He became famous for issuing the Pragmatic Sanction, which secured the succession of his daughter Maria Theresa. During his reign, he sought to maintain the unity of the Habsburg monarchy and its position in Europe.
