Joseph II (1765-1790)

Joseph II was a significant Habsburg ruler and a representative of enlightened absolutism. He reigned from 1765 to 1790 and became famous for reforms aimed at modernizing the monarchy. He introduced religious tolerance, limited serfdom, and supported education and more efficient state administration.
