Specification
The bus depicted on the postage stamp was manufactured on a Škoda 125 chassis and featured a four-stroke, spark-ignition, liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1944 cm3, which had a power output of 30 horsepower. The engine was located behind the front axle, and the vehicle's transmission was four-speed. The bus could travel at a maximum speed of 60 km per hour and consumed about 10 - 15 liters of gasoline per 100 km. The bus body was manufactured by the well-known company Sodomka in Vysoké Mýto. Sodomka included bus production in its program in 1928, and the very first bus produced by this company was made on a Škoda 125 chassis. By 1933, they had produced about 35 buses in various modifications, such as a fire engine bus or a tour vehicle with an open roof for spa town guests. The FDC depicts a postal courier in period postal uniform, with a departing Škoda 125 bus in the background.
