Specification:
The last Czechoslovak banknotes were designed by a Slovak author, and their fairy-tale appearance greatly contributed to the paradoxes of real socialism. To this day, they are considered by many experts to be the most beautiful banknotes created in the 20th century, as evidenced by numerous international awards they have received.
As the winner of the competition, Brunovský proposed in 1977 a series of Czechoslovak banknotes with denominations of one thousand, ten, twenty, fifty, and one hundred crowns. They were gradually put into circulation from 1985 to 1989.
In addition to typical elements, such as portraits of significant personalities, the designs also contain references to nature, light, or some kind of radiance, which each holder of the banknote probably interprets in their own way.
