On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of the first chapter of Peter Jackson's trilogy in cinemas, Monnaie de Paris will present in 2026 a collection of rare coins dedicated to the legendary series The Lord of the Rings.

From the Shire to Mordor, the dangerous journey of the Fellowship of the Ring is now engraved in metal, celebrating the mythical saga that has become a true pillar of the fantasy genre.

Aragorn, the last descendant of the ancient kings of Númenor, embarks on the dark paths of the White Mountains in the hope of forming a decisive alliance against the armies of Mordor. Facing the Army of the Dead, he invokes his blood bond with Isildur, who was once betrayed during the War of the Last Alliance.
