The Chinese calendar series introduces a new animal each year. The year 2026 is the Year of the Horse.

In Chinese culture, the horse is one of the most lively zodiac signs. People born under the sign of the Horse are energetic and independent. They are known for their lively, enthusiastic, and freedom-loving nature.

In the center of the coin's obverse is depicted a galloping horse. It seems to be passing through a circle engraved with traditional Chinese motifs. The moving horse reflects the characteristics of the original inhabitants of this sign: energy, independence, and passion. The design's outlines feature the year 2026 and the inscription "Year of the Horse."

On the reverse, all the animals of the Chinese zodiac are depicted on a screen surrounding traditional temple doors. The complete cycle of the Chinese zodiac begins in 2018 and lasts until 2029. Each of the twelve years in this period represents one of the zodiac animals. The nominal value can be seen in the upper left corner, and the word "RF" is visible on the doors.
