The disc is adorned with an ornament in the form of a cross created by drilled holes – symbolizing the Earth's axis. At the top is the name of the issuing country "LIETUVA" and on its sides is the mint mark and the year of issue "2016". On the outer ring of the coin, twelve stars of the European Union flag are depicted.
