In 2025, the Lancôme house celebrates the 90th anniversary of its founding.

Monnaie de Paris and Lancôme are members of Comité Colbert. They share a reputation for excellence, which they have built over time thanks to the quality of their creations. Each house has a deeply rooted mission to maintain its know-how while looking to the future and constantly striving to innovate.

On this nominal value, like a flower in full bloom in spring, the rose of Joaquin Jimenez is expressed in full volume. The delicacy of the engraving details is highlighted in this high-relief cut, which is a jewel in itself.

The obverse of the coin features a pure rose with its supple and delicate crown. Nine petals, referring to the 90th anniversary of the collection, surround the polished heart. The heart is surrounded by the Ô label from Lancôme, highlighted by the brightness of the petal pulp. With this design, Joaquin Jimenez offers his vision of the brand's symbolic rose: a modern, elegant, and warm flower.

On the reverse, the same petals speak of Lancôme's different know-how. Three motifs cover the body of the flower and embody the brand's three universes: perfume, makeup, and skincare. On one side, blooming roses, as they can be found on bushes, remind of nature and the raw materials used in the products. On the other side, the relief on the powder and makeup palette is recalled by a thin guilloche engraving, a motif symbolizing the work of men and know-how. The last three petals are engraved with waves shaped like a smile, similar to the brand's iconic perfume: La Vie est Belle. These also recall the shape of a reflected bullet on water, evoking fluidity, and Absolue skincare. Right in the center of the rose, as if it were obvious, it creates a connection between the phases of the story depicted on the petals.
