On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of the first part of Peter Jackson's trilogy in cinemas, the Monnaie de Paris mint will present a collection of rare coins dedicated to the legendary series The Lord of the Rings in 2026.
The dangerous journey of the Fellowship of the Ring - from the Shire to Mordor - is now immortalized in metal and pays tribute to the mythical saga that has become a true pillar of the fantasy genre.
Rivendell, hidden in the mountains, represents a timeless refuge where memories and the wisdom of the elves are preserved in safety from the turmoil of the outside world. Its crystal-clear waters and tranquil gardens provide Frodo and his companions a brief respite before they set out again towards the Misty Mountains.
