Specification:
Under the influence of difficult social conditions, national oppression of Slovaks, and the pan-European tendencies of a strengthening national emancipation movement, a strong revolutionary patriotic generation emerged in the 1830s. Leading this generation were Ľudovít Štúr, Jozef Miloslav Hurban, and Michal Miloslav Hodža. Thanks to their efforts, the process of constituting Slovaks as a modern nation, which began to demand its state-legal status, significantly advanced. A significant step in this process was the codification of the Slovak literary language. The principles of the new literary language were adopted at a meeting of Štúr, Hurban, and Hodža in Hlboké in 1843, which Štúr later elaborated in his work Nauka reči slovenskej. Although attempts to codify Slovak had occurred in previous periods, Štúr's Slovak proved to be the most suitable, most viable, and was acceptable to the entire nation.

The coin field features the state emblem of the Slovak Republic, the denomination, the year of minting, and the name of the state "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA".

Reverse side:
In the center of the coin field is a triple portrait of Hurban, Štúr, and Hodža, below which are the initials and surnames of these personalities, the years 1843 and 1993, and the inscription "150 YEARS OF LITERARY SLOVAK".
