The town of Kežmarok lies in the Poprad Basin, protected by the High and Belianske Tatras. It was established at the crossroads of trade routes. In 1269, it received city rights from King Bela IV, and in the 14th century, it was fortified. Its appearance was influenced by fires, battles, and the expansion of city rights by King Sigismund in the 15th century, when the Church of St. Cross was rebuilt, the foundations of the town hall were laid, and a lowland castle was built. In 1521, about 340 houses burned down. They were followed by reconstruction, as well as the construction of a Renaissance bell tower and a gymnasium. In the 17th century, the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was built, and the townhouses already formed a row development. The Baroque period enriched the town with a wooden evangelical church, a lyceum with a library, a redoubt, and an adjusted town hall, and in 1892, the dominant New Evangelical Church was built. The historical core of Kežmarok with the castle area, a set of evangelical churches, and a lyceum was declared a municipal heritage reserve in 1950 for its extraordinary heritage value, which is evidence of the town's development from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

Obverse:
On the obverse of the collector's euro coin is depicted the historical panorama of the town of Kežmarok, which consists of a composition of significant architectural landmarks of the town in the foreground and the massif of the High Tatras in the background. In the upper part of the coin field is the inscription SLOVAKIA followed by the year 2025. In the lower part of the coin field is the value 20 EURO, with the state emblem of the Slovak Republic between the numerical expression and the currency designation.

Reverse:
On the reverse of the collector's euro coin is a composition of significant architectural monuments of the town of Kežmarok behind the attic of Kežmarok Castle. In the foreground is the Basilica of St. Cross, behind it are townhouses, the town hall tower, and the New Evangelical Church. In the upper part of the coin field is the name of the town KEŽMAROK, and in the lower part of the coin field is the inscription HERITAGE RESERVE in two lines. To the left of it is the town's coat of arms. In the right part of the composition are the initials of the coin's author Karol Lička KL. The mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation MK placed between two dies, is in the composition near the tower of the Basilica of St. Cross.
