On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of the first part of Peter Jackson's trilogy in cinemas, the Monnaie de Paris mint will present a collection of rare coins dedicated to the legendary series The Lord of the Rings in 2026.
The dangerous journey of the Fellowship of the Ring – from the Shire to Mordor – is now immortalized in metal, paying tribute to the mythical saga that has become a true pillar of the fantasy genre.

In the ruins of Amon Sûl, the noose of danger tightens around Frodo and his companions. From the shadows emerge the Nazgûl, determined to find the One Ring and return it to the Dark Lord.
By standing between the wraiths and the hobbits, Strider reveals his true nature. He then helps the hobbits repel the Nazgûl attack and gives the ring-bearer a chance to survive and continue his quest.
